The first grand slam of the year is getting closer and even though all qualifiers are not yet ready, we can look at some early odds and value bets for the winners of the men and woman’s Australian Open.
We tend to not often bet on the favorites as the betting sites usually give poor odds and it’s very common that one of the challengers come up on top.
Men’s Winner Odds
Here we have a clear and obvious favorite on Novak Djokovic, to retain his crown. We will not place any bets on him as we only get 2.00 in odds and with the current wrist injury we feel we have to look elsewhere.
Carlos Alcaraz and Medveded will be a threat, however this time our choice will be the Italian star Jannik Sinner. It’s time for him to go all the way. His form has been excellent and you can now get 7.50 at William Hill for a bet on him.
Women’s Winner Odds
An exciting field and very hard to predict. We think it’s a decent odds of 3.50 for favorite Iga Swiatek, as she has been looking very good and she must want this Slam badly!
But honestly, we can see Aryna Sabalenka go far in this tournament once again, and regain the trophy from last year, for odds 6.20 at Stake.
What is Value Betting?
Value betting is a skill that allows you to discover hidden opportunities in the world of betting. It goes beyond mere predictions of winners and instead looks at odds that defy expectations. This, we would say, holds the key to making smart and profitable betting decisions.
A valuable bet arises when the likelihood of an event exceeds the implications of the odds. Imagine this scenario: you firmly believe that a player has a 70% chance of winning, yet the bookmaker’s odds suggest a mere 40-50% possibility. Placing a bet on that player in this situation becomes an enticing opportunity.
